Actor, Assistant Producer

I play the role of Tseitl, the eldest daughter of Tevye who first breaks with tradition. This was a very emotionally interesting role to play, allowing me to live through a completely different life, and recognize how as much as things change, they also stay the same. I also supported the play in visual work, making the posters and brochures and also helping lighting and projection technology teams by working with motion graphics designer Daria Bazzi to create the moon backgrounds (it’s by far my favorite element of the play!) Working on this has been an utter delight — showing that family remains family, despite the ambivalent pulls of tradition and revolution. We still remain people, connected by love. Share this story with us, and go home knowing that you’re also part of a great cultural tradition — of storytelling, of theater, of identification through art.
